PSNDeal Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 4, 2026 · Last Updated: July 4, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how PSNDeal ("PSNDeal," "we," "us," or "our"), accessible at psndeal.com (the "Service"), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information obtained from users of the Service ("you" or "User"). This Policy applies to all visitors, registered users, and anyone else who accesses or uses the Service, regardless of the device or method used to access it.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, please discontinue use of the Service. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Service generally.
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above, and, where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
2. Scope and Applicability
This Policy applies to information collected through:
- the PSNDeal website located at psndeal.com and all associated subdomains;
- any interactions you have with our customer communications, including transactional and price-alert emails;
- any account you create with us, including through third-party authentication providers; and
- any other services we may offer that link to or reference this Policy.
This Policy does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any application, website, or service that may link to or be accessible from the Service, or to which the Service may link. The inclusion of a link on the Service does not imply endorsement of the linked site by us.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information in three general categories: information you provide directly, information collected automatically through your use of the Service, and information received from third-party services you choose to connect to your account.
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Registration Information. When you create an account using email and password, we collect your email address and a securely hashed representation of your password. We do not store your password in plain text at any point, and we do not have access to your original password once submitted.
Third-Party Sign-In Information. If you choose to register or sign in using a third-party authentication provider such as Google, we receive, from that provider, the information you have authorized it to share with us, which currently consists of your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your third-party account password. Your relationship with the third-party authentication provider is governed by that provider's own privacy policy and terms of service, and we encourage you to review those documents independently.
Wishlist and Alert Preferences. When you add a game or a specific edition of a game to your wishlist, or enable price-drop alerts, we collect and store the identifiers of the game and edition in question, your selected region, and the alert configuration you have chosen. This information is associated with your account.
Library and Status Information. If you use the library feature to track games you own or intend to purchase, we collect and store the games and statuses you assign, associated with your account.
Communications. If you contact us directly, including by email at admin@psndeal.com, we will retain a record of that communication, including your email address and the content of your message, for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and resolve your inquiry.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage and Analytics Data. We use Google Analytics 4 to collect information about how visitors interact with the Service, including pages viewed, time spent on the Service, referring URLs, device and browser type, and general interaction patterns. This data is collected in aggregate and pseudonymized form and is used to understand and improve the Service. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking using tools such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Region and Locale Information. To provide you with pricing and catalog information relevant to your location, we determine your approximate country of location using IP-based geolocation performed at the network edge by our content delivery provider, Cloudflare. We do not receive or store your precise IP address for this purpose beyond what is necessary to determine your country-level location at the time of your visit. This determination is stored in a cookie (described further in Section 6) so that your selected or detected region persists across visits without needing to be re-determined on every page load.
Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and browser local storage to remember your region preference, maintain your authenticated session, and support the analytics functions described above. See Section 6 for further detail.
Log Data. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically collect standard log information, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and timestamps of requests, as a routine incident of operating the Service. This information is used for security, diagnostic, and operational purposes and is not used by us to individually identify visitors.
3.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not knowingly collect payment card information, government identification numbers, or other sensitive financial or identity data. All purchases of games referenced through the Service are completed directly on the PlayStation Store or other third-party retailer, and we have no visibility into or involvement with those transactions.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- to create, maintain, and secure your account;
- to provide the core functionality of the Service, including displaying region-appropriate pricing, maintaining your wishlist and library, and sending price-drop alert notifications you have requested;
- to communicate with you regarding your account, including transactional emails related to price alerts;
- to monitor, analyze, and improve the performance, usability, and content of the Service;
- to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity;
- to comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time the information was collected, or with your consent.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (For Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Policy depends on the specific information concerned and the context in which we collect it. We generally process your information on the following bases:
- Performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to provide the Service you have requested, such as maintaining your account and sending alerts you have configured;
- Legitimate interests, where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your data protection rights;
- Consent, where we rely on your consent to process your information, such as certain uses of analytics cookies, which you may withdraw at any time; and
- Legal obligation, where processing is necessary for us to comply with the law.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following categories of cookies and locally stored data:
Strictly Necessary Cookies. These include the authentication session cookies set by our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which are required for you to remain signed in to your account, and a region-preference cookie that stores your detected or manually selected region so the Service can display appropriate pricing without redundant detection on each visit.
Analytics Cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions, enabling us to understand aggregate usage patterns. These cookies do not, on their own, identify you personally.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent core functionality of the Service, including the ability to remain signed in, from working correctly.
7. Third-Party Service Providers
We engage the following third-party service providers to operate the Service. Each provider processes information described in this Policy solely to the extent necessary to perform the function for which they are engaged, and is contractually or otherwise obligated to handle such information in accordance with applicable data protection law.
| Provider | Function | Information Processed |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database hosting, authentication, session management | Account credentials, session tokens, wishlist and library data |
| Google (Sign-In) | Third-party authentication | Name, email, profile picture (only if you use this sign-in method) |
| Google Analytics | Usage analytics | Aggregate usage and device data |
| Resend | Transactional and price-alert email delivery | Email address, alert content |
| Cloudflare | Content delivery, DNS, region detection | Approximate country-level location derived from IP address |
We may engage additional service providers as the Service evolves, including, in the future, providers to support WhatsApp-based notifications, in which case this Policy will be updated accordingly prior to or concurrently with that feature becoming available, and your phone number would only be collected if and when you explicitly opt in to that channel.
We do not permit these providers to use information collected on our behalf for any purpose other than providing services to us, except as required by law.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
Aggregated or anonymized data that can no longer be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- the right to access the personal information we hold about you;
- the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- the right to request deletion of your personal information;
- the right to object to or restrict certain processing of your information;
- the right to data portability, where technically feasible; and
- the right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
9.1 Users in India
If you are located in India, your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to grievance redressal, may be exercised by contacting us using the details in Section 12.
9.2 Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the rights described above under the General Data Protection Regulation and, where applicable, the UK GDPR, and you additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child, please contact us using the details in Section 12.
11. International Data Transfers
Our service providers, including those listed in Section 7, may process and store information in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection law, including, where applicable, the use of standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
12. Contact Us
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Policy or our data practices, you may contact us at:
Email: admin@psndeal.com
We will make reasonable efforts to respond to legitimate inquiries within a reasonable timeframe.
13. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the personal information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include the use of encrypted connections, hashed credential storage, and access controls on our database infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable law. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
